Day six

Busy day of meetings in London today, great sitting on the 11th floor watching the snow falling though.
1.2 today. Looking at routes for the weekend this evening, other half has agreed to join me too!

Day five

Summer holiday is booked, surprised to admit that I looked to see if there were paths near the apartments where I could go jogging - perhaps this is all starting to sink in more than I ever thought it would. Only one mile again today but also one day closer to treadmill. Away in all day meetings for next two days so is going to be much harder to fit my miles in, by hook or by crook I will do it though!

Day four

Feeling inspired today, treadmill has been ordered and will arrive on Monday (worked out much cheaper than gym membership and means that the other half won't worry about me going out jogging on my own) and have submitted my name for the 2011 Great North Run ballot - is it wrong that part of me is hoping that I don't get a place?! One mile today but planning on kicking it up a notch this weekend - want to be comfortable with three miles by mid Feb.

Day three

Back home from hols and getting ready to head back to work tomorrow. Only one mile today but it's more than I would ever have done usually! Bruises are now a delightful shade of purple.

Day two

1.6 miles and an hour of intensive archery today. Great fun but the bruises look like they will take a while to go!

Day one

Day one and I am one mile down! Not much granted but a good start to my 2011 campaign. Planning the route we can do tomorrow and dragging the man along with me - he doesn't know it yet though!!

tentative steps

Oh the weather outside is frightful... no really, it is. However, the terrible weather conditions facing the country have managed to avoid Cambridgeshire in the most part, some bad ice and -7.5 on the thermometer but that is about it at the moment.

It has, though, encouraged me to hit the pavement rather than drive into work daily. Granted it is only about a mile but it is much more than I have been doing recently (terrible thing to admit when I have signed up to Janathon).

I have also discovered that I can start the new year as I mean to go on. We are at Centre Parcs for a New Year break and they have a one mile walk/jog/run on New Years Day - I know its not much but it will be a positive start to my healthier, joggier (?!) 2011.
